About this role
Department: Department of Infrastructure Location: Department of Infrastructure, Western Cape Government Salary: R237 453 - R279 708 per annum (Level 05) Requirements: Senior Certificate (Grade 12 or equivalent qualification); A valid (B or higher driving license. Competencies: Knowledge of the following: Clerical duties, practices as well as the ability to capture data, operate computer and collecting statistics; Finance and Supply Chain Management processes; Legislative framework governing the Public Service. Skills in the following: Computer literacy in MS Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, MS Teams); Communication (written and verbal); Numeracy; Planning and Time Management; Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Duties: Compile and process invoice payments; Procure goods and services; Capture, organise, store, and retrieve intervention data; Liaise with internal and external stakeholders; Conduct logistical arrangements for interventions and provide administrative support for meetings, committees and fora. Following the technical exercise and interview, a maximum of three (3) SMS candidates will undergo psychometric assessments to assess cognitive capabilities, behavioural preferences, emotional intelligence, and integrity. The successful candidate will be required to complete the Senior Management Pre-Entry Programme (Nyukela) and submit the certificate before he/she can be appointed to
