About this role
Department: Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure Location: Vhembe district Salary: R338 106 per annum (Level 07) Requirements: Grade 12 / Matric certificate and a qualification at NQF Level 6 in Developmental Studies/ Public Administration/Management as recognized by SAQA. Two (2) years’ experience in EPWP environment. Valid driver’s license, with the exception of applicants with disabilities. Knowledge And Skills: Knowledge of relevant Public Service Acts, regulations and frameworks. Knowledge and understanding of policy analysis, development and interpretation. PFMA and Treasury Regulations. Strategic capability and 256 leadership. Problem solving and analysis. Decision making. Team leadership. Creativity. Financial management. Customer focus and responsiveness. Communication. Computer skills. People management. Planning and organizing. Conflict management. Duties: Coordinate EPWP Implementation in the District: Facilitate recruitment of EPWP new intake. Establish Project list of projects implemented by the Department (e.g. NYS and Empowerment projects implemented in all Cost Centres). Collect monthly attendance of participants and submit to Finance for payment. Provide support to implementing bodies on the data collection tool and EPWP prescripts. Attend Municipal infrastructure monthly meetings (MIG). Compile data tool of each project and submit to Head Office for uploading on the system. Keeping records of submitted and captured data. Monitoring of EPWP in the District. Visit EPWP Projects monitoring for compliance with EPWP prescripts. Attend quarterly EPWP M & R and District forum. Compile monthly report. Manage utilization and development of the trainees including coordinating compensation: Facilitate the training of the beneficiaries. Identify the needs of the District and beneficiaries. Liaise with Head Office and other relevant government developmental on EPWP related issues. Advice and implement trainees mentorship and development.
