About this role
Department: Department of Health and Wellness Directorate: Engineering and Technical Support (Metro West Hub/ Zwaanswyk Location: Head Office, Cape Town Salary: R338 106 per annum Requirements: Minimum educational qualification: Senior certificate (or equivalent) with Mathematics and/or Accounting as a passed subject and/or Senior Certificate (or equivalent) with appropriate experience /competencies that focuses on the Key Performance Areas (KPA’s) of the post. Experience: Appropriate experience in Financial Management and Supply Chain Management. Appropriate Experience in Logis and BAS. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge of In- Year monitoring and reporting, AFS reporting, BAS, and LOGIS, National and Provincial Treasury Regulations as well as the Accounting Officers System of the Department and PFMA. Good communication skills Computer literacy (MS Word, Excel, Power Point). Good communication skills. Duties: Responsible for the effective and efficient functioning and co-ordination of the Finance, Supply Chain Department division and Transport. Responsible for control of expenditure and allocated budget. Draw all financial reports: expenses per month and expenditure commitments etc. Monthly Compilation of supply chain and Finance reports (IYM). Compilation of inputs into Financial Statements (IFS and AFS). Management of Stores. Ensure clearing of Assets and Liability Accounts. Authorizing of Journals and payments, Logis functions, EPS transactions and all Audit queries. Training of subordinates and new appointees.
