Department: Department of Social Development Location: Western Cape Mobility Department, Western Cape Government Salary: R487 197 - R573 897 per annum (Level 09) Requirements: An appropriate 3-year B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification) in Supply Chain Management or Financial Management; A minimum of 3-years related logistics or asset management experience at supervisory level. A valid (Code B) driving license, or alternative mode of transport for people with disabilities. Competencies: Knowledge and working experience in the following: Interpret and implement legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices relevant to the line functions; use information systems that support the management of knowledge and information relating to the line function; develop, implement and monitor logistics and asset management-related policies, plans, reports and processes; administer logistics and asset management processes and procedures; develop, implement and maintain a movable asset register; manage financial processes in accordance with the Public Finance Management Act, 1999, National Treasury Regulations, Provincial Treasury Instructions and other applicable financial policies, prescripts, directives and collective agreements; develop, implement, monitor and review policies and operational processes. Duties: Administer and ensure effective and efficient management of movable assets; coordinate the safekeeping and distribution of movable assets and 251 coordination of disposal of movable assets; administer and ensure effective and efficient management of logistics, consumables and inventory management; asset management and logistics management reporting; and managerial functions.
