Department: Department of Social Development Location: Western Cape Mobility Department, Western Cape Government Salary: R487 197 - R573 897 per annum (Level 09) Requirements: An appropriate 3-year National Diploma/B-Degree (equivalent or higher qualification). A minimum of 5 years relevant experience. Competencies: Working knowledge in the following: Legislative, Regulatory and Policy Frameworks; legislation, regulatory frameworks, policies and best practices applicable to support services within the public sector; Government Immovable 248 Asset Management Act (GIAMA) and related accommodation and asset management prescripts, including inputs to the; User Asset Management Plan (UAMP); Occupational Health and Safety; (OHS) legislation, regulations and departmental health and safety frameworks; transport-related prescripts, including policies governing the management and utilisation of government and subsidised vehicles; the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), National and Provincial Treasury Regulations, and relevant financial policies, directives and instructions applicable to operational support environments; Labour Relations legislation, regulations and collective agreements applicable to the public service; Operational and Management Knowledge. Skills needed: Numeracy; Literacy; Computer literacy (including standard office applications and electronic record-keeping systems); Language and communication skills (verbal and written); Accounting, finance and audit skills (basic budgeting, expenditure monitoring and controls). Duties: Management of Transport Services in the Department; Promotion of Occupational Health and Safety in the Department; Provision of Effective and Efficient Facility Management (Accommodation); Management of Functions in Terms of the Government Immovable Asset Management Act; Managerial functions.
