About this role

Department: Department of Health Location: Tokollo District Hospital Salary: R720 819 – R846 282 per annum, plus 13th Cheque, Housing Allowance, Medical Aid (Optional, Employee must meet the prescribed requirements. Requirements: Basic R425 qualification (i.e. Diploma/degree in nursing or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council as a professional Nurse. A minimum of 8 years appropriate / recognizable experience in nursing after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in general Nursing. At least 3 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/ recognizable experience at management level. Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a professional nurse. Current registration with the South African Nursing Council (SANC) as a professional nurse Skills and Knowledge: Knowledge of nursing care processes and procedures, nursing statutes, and other relevant legal frameworks such as Health and Safety Act, Health Act and Nursing Act. Planning and Organizing skills, Good Communication skills, Organizing skills, Ability to function as part of a team, Computer Literacy Skills, Time Management, Problem Solving skills, Problem solving Skills, Operational Management Skills, Report writing skills and Facilitation Skills. Duties: Delegate, supervise and co-ordinate the provision of effective and efficient patient care through adequate nursing care. Initiate and participate in health promotion to ensure consistent communication of relevant, accurate and comprehensive information on health care. Develop/establish and maintain constructive working relationships with nursing and other stakeholders (i.e. inter-professional, inter-sectoral and multi-disciplinary teamwork). Participate in the analysis, formulation and implementation of nursing guidelines, practices, standards and procedures. Manage Human Resources.
