Department: Department of Health and Wellness Location: Grassy Park CDC (X1 Post) Vanguard CHC (X2 Posts), Southern/Western Sub-structure Office Salary: R144 024 per annum Requirements: Minimum educational qualification: Basic numeracy and literacy skills. Inherent requirements of the job: The ability to do physical tasks and operate heavy duty cleaning and household equipment. Must be willing and able to work shifts on weekends and public holidays, including day and night duty as operational requirements dictate. Willingness to rotate across various departments in accordance with operational requirements and organisational needs. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Good interpersonal skills. Knowledge of the correct methods of handling and disposal of refuse /waste products and adherence to policy and cleaning practices. Excellent communication Skills. Duties: General cleaning and maintenance (sweeping, scrubbing, refuse removal, dusting, mopping, polishing, cleaning hospital grounds, cleaning of windows and walls. Effective and efficient utilisation and storage of cleaning material and equipment. Adhering to safety precautions and ensure adherence to occupational health and safety policies. Maintaining of a high standard of neatness and hygiene in the facility. Provide effective cleaning support to the Facility Manager and colleagues.
