Department: Department of Public Works, Roads and Infrastructure Location: Head Office - Polokwane Salary: R932 292 per annum (Level 11), (to be structured according to individual needs) Requirements: Grade 12/ Matric and a qualification at NQF level 06 level in Public Administration/ Management/ Office Management and Technology as recognized by SAQA. 5 years’ experience office services administration environment with a minimum of three (3) years at Junior management level. A Valid driver’s license with the exception of applicants with disabilities. 239 Knowledge & Skills: Knowledge of relevant Public Service Acts, regulations and frameworks. Duties: Manage the provision of office goods and services: Develop policies, strategy and processes relating to the provision of goods. Facilitate budgeting for departmental office goods and services. Develop norms and standards for provision of goods. Conduct needs assessment in respect of required number, type of office and domestic furniture. Provide specifications for goods to be procured. Oversee the receiving of goods from the service provider. Manage the distribution of goods according to the set norm. Determine and facilitate maintenance and repair of broken office and domestic furniture. Recommend and facilitate disposal of redundant or irreparable furniture. Conduct periodic inspection with regard to all furniture taken on stock. Manage the procurement of Uniform and Protective Clothing. Manage and provide accommodation and related needs (flights, shuttles, etc.). Manage telecommunication services: Develop and implement telecommunication policies, strategy, processes and procedures. Facilitate budgeting of telecommunications services aligned to the needs of the department. Manage the switchboard. Manage and facilitate installations of landlines and extensions needed in accordance to the number of offices and personnel available. Liaise with service providers with regard to service maintenance and activation of speed dials and Pin Codes. Provide norms for provision of cell phones. Evaluate application for cell phones and make recommendations. Manage the procurement of cell phones. Monitor compliance to allocated airtime as per norms and standards. Manage the provision of monthly statements of account. Provide the monetary value on the usage of telecommunication. Manage the provision of labour saving devices: Develop and implement labour saving procurement policies, strategy, processes and procedures.
