Department: Department of Health Location: Lejweleputswa District – Bothaville Ventersburg Station Salary: Grade 3: R348 636 – R390 396 per annum Grade 4: R413 199 – R472 449 per annum Grade 5: R499 311 – R570 570 per annum Grade 6: R613 020 – R698 031 per annum plus 13th Cheque, Housing Allowance, Medical Aid (Optional, Employee must meet the prescribed requirements. Requirements: Minimum educational qualification: Grade 3: Successful completion of the Intermediate Life Support (ILS) that allows registration with the HPCSA as an Ambulance Emergency Assistant (AEA). Grade 4: Successful completion of the Emergency Care Technician (ECT) that allows registration with the HPCSA as an Emergency Care Technician (ECT). Grade 5: Successful completion of the Critical Care Assistant course (CCA) or National Diploma that allows 169 registration with the HPCSA as a Paramedic. Grade 6: Successful completion of the B-Tech Degree that allows registration with the HPCSA as Emergency Care Practitioner (ECP). Inherent requirement of the job: Valid code C1 driver’s license. Current Professional driver’s permit (P/G). Current registration with HPCSA as an AEA, ECT, Paramedic or ECP. Knowledge And Skills: Knowledge of Supply Chain Policy and Financial Management. Be able to work under pressure and excessive hours. Be prepared to travel and attend to emergencies after hours. 126 Knowledge of Labour Relations. Computer literacy. Duties: Provide an on-going supervisory function in respect of all operational issues in terms of HPCSA policies by ensuring compliance and operating thereon. Implementation of Operational plans at shift level. Manage all resources allocated to the shift in an efficient manner by ensuring control, monitoring use and reporting deviations and deficiencies. Facilitate on-going administration and Human Resource Management supervisory functions. Responsible for Performance Management and Development System assessment. Respond to mass casualty and disaster scenes and provide advice and leadership in such situations. Manage complaints from internal and external sources. Compile reports conduct investigations when required to do so. Ensure compliance with standard operating procedures and protocols. Effective pre- hospital Emergency Medical Care and response to incidences when required. Ensure effective supervision and maintenance of Emergency Vehicles and equipment in line with the Financial and Fleet directives. Ensure effective report writing with regards to accident and incident reports, loss and theft control incidents and safety incidents. Ensure effective communication with regards to patients, colleagues, other services, and members of the Public. -Supervise and manage rostered shifts and personnel in line with People Management policies and practices.
