About this role

Department: Department of Health and Wellness Location: Radie Kotze Hospital, Bergriver Sub-district Salary: R144 024 per annum Requirements: Minimum educational qualification: Basic numeracy and literacy skills. Experience: Appropriate experience in a large-scale kitchen in a hospital environment. Inherent requirements of the job: Ability to work shifts, including 306 weekends and public holidays. Must be healthy and strong enough to lift heavy objects and be on their feet the entire day. Dress according to departmental specifications and adhere to Hospital Policy. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Knowledge of production for normal and therapeutic diets in an industrial food service unit. Knowledge of hygiene, occupational health, HACCP and safety principles. Ability to safely and correctly handle industrial equipment. Must be able to work independently and under pressure. Ability to Interpret recipes, use a scale, do basic sums and production planning. Duties: Render food services. Apply & maintain quality and risk. Maintain apparatus and Equipment. Support the Human Resources function.
