GROUNDSMAN (GROUNDS AND GARDENING)

Department: Department of Health and Wellness Location: Tygerberg Hospital, Parow Valley Salary: R144 024 per annum Requirements: Minimum educational qualification: Basic literacy and numeracy. Experience: Appropriate experience working in a grounds and gardening environment. Inherent requirement of the job: Be able to operate garden machinery (lawn mowers and brush cutters). Valid code (B/EB) driving license as well as the ability to operate and drive a tractor. Competencies (knowledge/skills): 305 Gardening skills including landscaping and irrigation systems. Good written and verbal communication skills. Duties: Responsible for the development and maintenance of facility garden and terrain as well as bondage of machinery. The preparation of ground covers for planting trees and bushes. The maintenance of flower and other beddings. Ensure that grounds and gardens are maintained (horticultural aspects).
