Duties: Provide comprehensive legal advisory services to the Office of the Premier and Provincial Departments by conducting legal research, analysing legislation and case law, and formulating legal opinions and recommendations. Consult with clients to determine objectives, provide advice on legal rights and available courses of action, and ensure that all consultations and advice are accurately documented. Draft and review legal opinions, contracts, service level agreements, submissions, correspondence and other legal documents to support organisational objectives and ensure legal compliance. Manage, coordinate and monitor litigation matters, including liaising with relevant stakeholders and legal representatives. Coordinate and oversee compliance with the Promotion of Access to Information Act (PAIA) and the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA), while maintaining accurate records and ensuring effective case management.
