Department: Provincial Administration: Kwazulu Natal Location: Kwa-Magwaza District Hospital (Nogajuka Clinic) Salary: R720 8198 – R821 454 per annum, basic salary, 8% inhospitable allowance of basic salary, 13th cheque, Medical Aid (optional), Housing Allowance (employee must meet prescribed requirements) Requirements: Grade 12/ Senior Certificate, Basic R425 qualification (i.e. Diploma / Degree in General Nursing and Midwifery) plus (1) year post-basic nursing qualification in Clinic Nursing Science Health Assessment, Treatment and Care (PHC). Current registration with SANC (2026) as General Nurse, Midwife/Accoucheur and Primary Health Care. A minimum of nine (09) years appropriate /recognisable nursing experience after registration as Professional Nurse with the SANC in General Nursing of which at least five (5) years must be appropriate/recognizable PHC experience after obtaining a one (1) year post basic qualification in PHC. In depth knowledge of nursing legislation, related legal and ethical nursing practices, public service policies and other Health related prescripts. Knowledge of quality norms and standards as directed by Negotiated Service Delivery Agreement, OHSC and ICRM prescripts, patient Right Charter and Batho Pele Principle. Leadership, organizing, decision - making, problem solving skills. Computer literacy to enhance service delivery. Time and conflict management skills. Report writing skills. Communication skills to enhance teamwork. Human Resource and Financial Management. Duties: Provision of comprehensive package of services at Primary health Care level. Develop, implement and monitor facility plans and submit progress reports. Implement quality improvement Programs that work towards achieving Universal Health Coverage as stipulated in the National Health Act. Effective utilization and monitoring of resources in line with cost containment plan. Effectively implement PHC Re-engineering strategy. Implement Employment Performance management and Development System. Manage and utilize date to improve service delivery and health outcomes. Implement and monitor Department projects, including special project in line with health calendar. Conduct clinical audits of priority programs with the aim to improve health care services.
