About this role

Department: Department of Roads and Transport Location: Johannesburg Salary: R338 106 – R398 277 per annum, (plus benefits) Requirements: Grade 12 (NQF Level 4) or equivalent, coupled with a Secretarial Diploma or equivalent qualification in Office Administration, and a minimum of three to five (3–5) years’ experience in providing administrative and secretarial support to a senior manager. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Sound computer literacy, professional telephone etiquette, strong interpersonal and relationship management skills, as well as planning, organising, analytical thinking, problem-solving and document analysis capabilities. Duties: Provide professional secretarial, administrative and office support services to the senior manager; manage diaries, appointments, correspondence and telephone enquiries; coordinate the routing, tracking and follow-up of documents to relevant stakeholders. Coordinate meetings, prepare agendas, compile supporting documentation and record minutes; draft reports, submissions and other documents as required; collate, consolidate and coordinate reports of the Chief Directorate to support management reporting. Maintain filing and records management systems; coordinate travel and logistical arrangements; facilitate the effective flow of information and communication between the office of the senior manager, the Chief Directorate and stakeholders. Provide budget administration support by coordinating budget-related documentation, monitoring expenditure, maintaining expenditure records, assisting with procurement processes and budget reporting. Alert management to potential over- or under-expenditure. Manage office resources and administrative registers for leave; and ensure compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and procedures. Requirements
