About this role
Department: Department of Health and Wellness Directorate: Engineering and Technical Support Services (Metro East Mobile Location: Head Office, Cape Town (on the premises of Lentegeur Hospital) Salary: R170 226 per annum Requirements: Minimum educational qualification: Grade 10 or equivalent certificate. Experience: Appropriate experience within one of the following fields: Electrical, Mechanical, Building, Plumbing, Carpentry and Aircon/Refrigeration. Appropriate experience in a multi-functioned workshop environment. Inherent requirement of the job: Willingness to travel throughout the Western Cape Province. Physically fit to do manual labour. Competencies (knowledge/skills): Ability to handle tools. Good interpersonal skills. Duties: Carry out minor maintenance tasks. Assist with repairs and emergency breakdowns (including after hour’s repairs). Assist with the installation of plant, equipment and alterations. Clear areas where work has been carried out. Ensure that tools and material are available when needed. Assist the Artisans in the execution of their duties.
