Requirements

Minimum of Grade 10-12 or equivalent qualifications plus an appropriate completed apprenticeship and trade test certificate in Plumbing. Must have basic computer knowledge for time entry, preventative maintenance and work orders. Valid driver’s Licence. Willingness to work irregular hours and attend to emergencies when required. Ability to communicate in two of the three official languages of the Mpumalanga Province (read & write) Ability to work under pressure Must be willing to work in adverse weather conditions In physical sound and healthy condition Prepared to perform overtime and standby duties, including weekends and public as well as over peak periods, as and when needed.

Duties

Responsible to monitor reservoir levels and sewer pumps Responsible for repairs and maintenance of water & sewer pipelines (mains) and fittings. Installation and maintenance of sewer connections and new mains. Responsible for materials and sores requisitions. Recordkeeping of daily work. Responsible for on-site Occupational Health & Safety. Responsible for Municipal assets and equipment. Responsible for supervision of staff.
