Requirements

Grade 12 certificate and an appropriate NQF 7 in Auditing/ Accounting/ Forensic Accounting / Forensic Investigation Law/ Risk Management/ Internal Auditing/ Forensic Investigation/ Law/Forensic Auditing. At least five (5) years’ experience at a middle/senior managerial level in ethics, risk management, compliance, auditing, developing and implementing risk management and ethics frameworks. Experience in public sector environment will be an advantage. Professional registration with a recognised body (e.g., IRMSA, IIA, or equivalent) will be advantageous. Sound knowledge of applicable legislation and regulatory frameworks, particularly in the public sector (e.g. Public Finance Management Act (PFMA), Treasury Regulations, Public Service Regulations). Knowledge of Public Services ethics and corruption. Knowledge of governance, risk management, and compliance frameworks. Good communication (verbal and written), strategic planning and leadership, risk analysis and mitigation planning, policy development and implementation, research and analytical thinking, project and programme management, presentation and facilitation, conflict management and problem-solving, decision-making, strategic capability and leadership, programme and project management, financial management, problem-solving and analysis, people management and empowerment and computer skills (MS Office package). A valid driver’s license. SMS pre-entry Certificate is required for appointment finalization.

Duties

Manage and render ethics management services. Develop and implement ethics management policies, strategies, and plans. Coordinate ethics awareness campaigns and training. Manage and render risk management. Develop and maintain the risk management framework and policies. Facilitate strategic and operational risk assessments. Ensures compliance with applicable legislation, policies, and frameworks while embedding a culture of accountability, transparency, and sound risk practices. Develop and implement ethics and risk management strategies aligned with organisational objectives. Establish and maintain an Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework. Provide strategic advice for stakeholder relationships and promote a culture of ethical conduct and effective risk management across the department and with external partners. Create and maintain effective relationships with internal stakeholders (Executive Management, Senior Management, Audit and Risk Committees).
