Requirements

NQF level 7 qualification in Social Work / Psychology as recognised by SAQA. A qualification / Course in EAP or HIV will be an added advantage. Minimum of 01 - 02 years’ relevant experience in Employee Health and Wellness or related field. Registration with a professional body, the South African Council for Social Service Profession (SACSSP) or Health Professions Council of South Africa (HPCSA). A valid driver’s licence except for people with disabilities. Knowledge and skills: Knowledge of EHW Strategic Framework. Knowledge of National Strategic Plan on HIV, STIs & TB. Project Management skills. Presentation skills. Reporting, negotiation. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Functional Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel, MS PowerPoint and MS Outlook).

Duties

Provide HIV counselling & peer support services. Implement the HIV, STIs & TB programs. Monitor & evaluate internal and external stakeholders. Implement Wellness Management programs. Provide psychosocial support (individual & group) to employees & their immediate families. Provide trauma debriefing and coordinate grief or crisis management following emergencies. Coordinate and facilitate information sessions, workshops, events and health campaigns (on stress, HIV/AIDS, mental health etc) to educate employees. Promote physical wellness & sports initiatives and advocate good nutrition. Compile district monthly, quarterly & annual reports.
