Requirements

Grade 12 / Matric or equivalent, Basic R425 qualification (i.e. Diploma / Degree in Nursing) or equivalent qualification that allows registration with the South African Nursing Council as a Professional Nurse and registration/qualification as a Midwife or Accoucheur. Post Basic qualification in Nursing Education registered with the SANC minimum of nine (9) years appropriate/recognizable nursing experience after registration as a Professional Nurse with the South African Nursing Council. A minimum of five (5) years of the above period must be appropriate / recognizable experience in the Nursing Education. Registration with the South African Nursing Council 2026. Plus, Unendorsed valid Code EB driver’s licence. Computer Literate. Knowledge, Skills, Training and Competencies Required: In depth knowledge of the relevant legislation, Acts, Prescripts and Policy Frameworks within the area of operation. Have excellent communication skills (written & verbal) and presentation skills. In depth knowledge of nursing education programs and curriculum. Proficiency in teaching and assessment in Nursing Education including evaluation approaches. Knowledge of policy development, interpretation, implementation, monitoring and evaluation. Sound conflict management and decision making / problem solving skills. Willingness to travel. Good research and analytical skills. Good managerial and interpersonal skills.

Duties

Develop a composite clinical placement for all students / programs in the campus. Manage monthly students’ placement in clinical sites. Manage clinical learning exposure to students between college and clinical areas. Develop accompaniment schedules and manage accompaniment of students. Manage clinical assessments / evaluations of students. Develop and ensure implementation of quality assurance programme. Supervise staff and monitor students. Participate in campus management.
