Administrative and clerical positions are among the most consistently advertised roles in both the South African public and private sectors. Government departments in particular have a high and ongoing demand for administrative clerks, especially at salary levels 5 to 7 on the public service scale. These roles form the operational backbone of every department and offer a stable entry point into a public sector career with a clear progression path.
This vacancy is within Provincial Administration: Northern Cape. Government departments in South Africa advertise vacancies through the Public Service Commission and are required to follow a standardised recruitment process governed by the Public Service Act. Applications are screened against the minimum requirements listed in the advert before any CV is reviewed by a panel.
Shortlisted candidates are contacted directly by the department. If you do not receive a response within 90 days of the closing date, your application was not successful. NewGenJobs tracks every application you submit through your personal dashboard so you always know where you stand.
