Requirements

National Senior Certificate, NQF Level 7 as recognised by SAQA in Nursing, NQF Level 8 as recognised by SAQA in Education and Management and NQF Level 9 as recognised by SAQA in Health Sciences with 5 years as a Middle Management. A candidate who possesses a PhD qualification will have an added advantage. A minimum of 11 years appropriate/ recognizable nursing experience after registration as a Professional nurse with the SANC in General Nursing. At least 7 years of the period referred to above must be appropriate/ recognizable experience in Nursing Education after obtaining the 1 year Post Basic Qualification. Good understanding and experience of both classroom and clinical teaching including the current National Health priorities (RPHC) and community Based Education. Ability to identity gaps in curriculum implementation, research, patient-centred approaches and collaboration with health sector partner. Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skill. Proficient is Microsoft Office Applications. A valid driver’s licence.

To assist the principal in providing strategic direction and development of the college curriculum and all academic operations of the college ensuring that the institution has the current and future capacity and capability to deliver the approved academic programmes. Leading and managing academic personnel in the college ensuring effective teaching and learning platform in the college.
