NewGenJobs was founded in South Africa in 2024 by a young South African developer who experienced first-hand how exhausting and confusing the local job application process can be. Applying for a single government post meant downloading a Z83 form, printing it, filling it in by hand, scanning it, attaching a CV, and emailing it to a specific HR address, all before the closing date. Private sector applications were not much better, requiring separate logins to each employer's portal.
The idea behind NewGenJobs was simple: what if a platform could do all of that for you? Not just aggregate the vacancies, but actually complete and submit the application on your behalf, using the profile information you provide once. That is exactly what NewGenJobs does.
Since launching, NewGenJobs has helped thousands of South Africans apply for government and private sector jobs faster than ever before. We currently aggregate vacancies from PSC Circulars, DPSA, provincial government departments, and a growing list of private sector employers across every province.

South Africa has one of the highest youth unemployment rates in the world. Statistics South Africa reports that more than 45% of young South Africans between the ages of 15 and 34 are unemployed. We believe that technology can meaningfully reduce this number by making the job application process faster, easier, and more accessible to everyone regardless of location, income, or technical ability.
Our mission is to remove every unnecessary barrier between a job seeker and their next career step, whether that is a government post in Limpopo, a graduate programme in Johannesburg, or a remote role that can be done from anywhere in the country.
NewGenJobs is free to use and will always remain free for job seekers. We are funded through contextual advertising that helps keep the platform running without charging our users anything.
We take privacy seriously. We never sell your personal data to third parties. Your CV, ID number, and contact details are stored securely and used only to complete job applications on your behalf. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.
We are fully compliant with the Protection of Personal Information Act (POPIA) 2013 and maintain a comprehensive Privacy Policy that explains exactly what data we collect and how we use it.
